Industry Experts Join Forces at the KPI Summit 2006

kpi-summit-2006.gif Gaming (www.fairgroundgaming.com) and Chartwell Technology Inc. (www.chartwelltechnology.com) amongst others, have announced their attendance at the KPI Summit to be held at the London Stock Exchange on Friday 30th June with the aim to define the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the iGaming sector.

KPIs to be defined will include Turnover, Customer Lifetime, Lifetime Customer Value and Active Players. A Pre-Summit meeting will take place on Thursday 22nd June with sponsors Baker Tilly (www.bakertillyinternational.com), Canaccord Adams (www.canaccordadams.com) and Berwin Leighton Paisner (www.blplaw.com), to discuss direction and agenda for the Summit.

Prominent iGaming operators have been invited to participate in the 2006 Summit with industry experts, key members of the media and city analysts also in attendance.

Evan Hoff, Executive Director of Fairground Gaming, said: "As an industry consolidator, Fairground is constantly evaluating possible acquisition targets and thus experiences first hand the difficulties of conducting analysis without the benefit of standard industry metrics. The issue is magnified when viewed from the investors' vantage point, as they do not have access to all available data, and we look forward to contributing at this important event."

Lee Richardson, Chief Executive of Chartwell Games Corporation, said: “The online gaming industry and all who invest in, analyse and report has long needed reliable and robust metrics. This important summit seems sure to make a valuable contribution to that need and Chartwell, with its strong tradition of supporting their blue-chip operator clients with valuable and actionable data is delighted to contribute.”

Following the Summit, the definitions of the KPIs will be published in industry journals. They will also be made available to firms of accountants and to listed iGaming companies who wish to use them in their public accounts. Private iGaming companies will also be welcome to use them in their own accounting to provide benchmarking.
